Soprano Cornet Alan Moore Lives in Harrogate, Joined the band in March 2001, moved onto Soprano Cornet in 2003 to help strengthen the band When he's not with Emley, Alan likes large quantities of lager, plays in a rock band called "Groove Box" and has his own Harrogate based fan club that follow him everywhere. |

Principal Cornet Crawford Howe Lives in Grange Moor, Joined the band in Spring 1998 Crawford lists his banding highlights as qualifying for the Nationals in 2006 and marching to a Grease medley at Whit Friday in 2007! He claims his "pet hate" is chit-chat in the bandroom whilst Garry is talking (creep!). Crawf would like to get Emley into the top section.. Away from Band, Crawford has hundreds of children, and despite accidentally setting fire to his season ticket, is a dedicated Huddersfield Town fan!

Solo Cornet Peter Parkin-Rhodes Lives in West Yorkshire Joined the band in Jan 2007 When he's not with Emley, Peter enjoys a glass of Bitter, playing with his daughter Isabelle and driving his funky suped-up Saab!

Solo Cornet Linda Atkinson Lives in Gomersal, Joined the band in July 2005 When she's not with Emley, Linda likes large quantities of chocolate, spending time with friends, family and trying to keep fit!!

Solo Cornet Jamie O'Brien Lives in Denby Dale, West Yorkshire Joined the band in spring 2007 When he's not at Emley, Jamie teaches brass in local schools, plays with his collection of weird and wonderful (brass) instruments, and has been known to drink the odd pint or two of ale!

Lives in Crigglestone,
Joined the band as Soprano Cornet in 2003 and moved to strengthen our back row team. When he's not with Emley, Stephen likes the odd lager, tinkering with cars and trying to teach his parrot to say more than "ello"

Back Row Squad Member Andrew Garrett Lives in Brighouse, Joined the band in March 2004 and is captain of the Emley 5-a-side football team! When he's not with Emley, Andy likes large quantities of lager, looks after his goldfish and spends too much time supporting Liverpool FC (who?)

Back Row Squad Member Richard Godden Lives in Batley, West Yorkshire Joined the band long long ago! When he's not with Emley, Richard likes large quantities of Guinness, looking after his daughter Sophie and riding his motorbike.

Back Row Squad Member Amanda Hanush-Moore Lives in Harrogate, North Yorkshire Joined the band in Dec 2006 When she's not with Emley, Amanda enjoys a glass of White wine, Teaching primary school kids and practicing cornet hard (she only started during the summer).

Back Row Squad Member Matt Lawson Lives in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire Matt began his playing career with Swinton and District Excelsior Band in 2001, where he spent four years working his way from Third Cornet to Assistant Principal. In September 2005, he moved from his hometown near Malton in North Yorkshire to begin a degree in music at the University of Huddersfield. Within weeks of his course starting, Matt joined Emley, playing on the Front Row for 14 months. Following a brief spell on Second Cornet at 1st section band United Co-Op Yorkshire, Matt decided to rejoin Emley in September 2007.

Solo Horn Deborah Howe Lives in Grange Moor, Joined the band in 1995 Debs has played cornet in the past but now enjoys solo horn. She does a sterling job with the Emley library, despite Garry best efforts to mess it up! When she's not with Emley, Deb likes large quantities of baileys, looking after five children (including newest daughter Annabelle). If Debs could take three things to a desert island they'd be a comfy bed, a bath and an iPod (hmm, no mention of Crawf here?!). |

1st Horn Lives in Emley, Joined the band because he could walk to the band room! When he's not with Emley, Roger likes large quantities of bitter, looking after his wife (she wishes!) and eating really spicy food, he's the only band member that likes Garry's Chilli!. . |

2nd Horn Michael Clough Lives in Emley, Joined the band for a second spell in June 2005. He's also Chairman of the band When he's not with Emley, Mike likes large quantities of real ale, digging in the mud, and lots of hols with his wife Carole.

Solo Baritone Sally Shacklock Lives in Brighouse, Joined the band in April 2004, to play closer to home When she's not with Emley, Sally likes large quantities of lager, passing her accountancy exams (well done) and stopping her boyfriend Andy's car to use the bushes .. |

2nd Baritone Raymond Ruscoe Joined Emley many lagers ago, he moved from 2nd trombone in 2005. When he's not with Emley, Ray likes large quantities of lager, a tot of whisky before bed and a round on the golf course

Solo Trombone Lives in Lepton, Joined the band in 1982 and again in 2002! Dave's banding highlights include the London Finals in 1963 and the Harrogate Finals in 2006. Dave's seen a few ups and downs contesting over the years, and has particularly enjoyed the music of Eric Ball and Gilbert Vinter. When he's not with Emley, David is busy looking after his children (Drew and Claire) and watching cricket and football (another Town fan!) . |

2nd Trombone Felicity Ward Lives in Queensbury, West Yorkshire Joined the band in July 2005 When she's not with Emley, Fliss enjoys large quantities of Bacardi, playing with the Huddersfield Concert Band, and driving her little Micra.

Bass Trombone Kevin Hallas Lives in Wakefield, West Yorkshire Join the band in March 2007 When he's not with Emley, Kevin enjoys the odd bottle of 1664, fixing cars & trailers and trying weird experiments in his shed!

Solo Euphonium Jenny Ehrhardt Lives in Honley, West Yorkshire Joined the band in September 2005 When she's not with the band Jen enjoys large quantities of Pimms, pony trekking and generally doing posh things.

EEb Bass Gary Brown Lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire Joined the band in 2008 (Again!) Gary's latest solo, Nelly the Elephant fills two requirements - keeps the other Garry happy, and keeps young son William entertained whilst practising! It's not the same when he just sings the bass parts to the other nursery rhymes!

EEb Bass Paul Dyson Lives in Sheffield, South Yorkshire Joined the band in 2007 When he's not playing with Emley, Paul enjoys sampling a cold Guinness or two, visiting Northumberland and messing about with tubes of paint in his shed. (hopefully not all at the same time!) |

BBb Bass Alan Kaye Lives in Dewsbury, Joined the band again in 2002 and is a great asset playing wherever we need him! When he's not with Emley, Alan wins numerous prizes with his pedigree show dogs and plays with his Grandson (Charlie).

Percussion Mick Berry Lives Ossett, West Yorkshire Joined the band in 2007. Mick has drummed with all sorts of bands, not just the Brass type! He got back into banding when his son joined a local brass band and needed a bit of help. His Son moved on to pursue his rock career, leaving Mick stayed on. When Mick's not at Emley he's busy tearing up the countryside with his outrageous Subaru. And then there's the world's most technologically advanced tent... |

Timpani Andrew Hudson Lives in Lepton, Always been around the band with his dad (David), he's been learning timps since November 2004 When he's not playing with Emley, Andrew enjoys playing football (top scorer for Emley band 5-a-side 2004), teasing Claire his sister and drinking large quantities of lager!

Secretary Margaret Hudson Lives in Lepton, Always been around the band with husband (David), Margaret works hard to keep us all organised and making sure the jobs are not all at the same time! When she's not keeping Emley in order, she has her hands full at home too with David, Drew and Claire! |
